On friday, Aug.29. I thought it would be the best day I’ll have the entire week. But it wasn’t. I woke up with a terrible head ache. The late nights I had were taking it’s toll on me. I would have preferred to stay home but I couldn’t. I still had some stuff to do in school. I was late again. I had a hard time finding a hitch. Mrs. Talavera was already texting me. She’s asking me where I was because the papers were already printed and she had something for me to do.

By about ten in the morning I reached ascot. I didn’t know why but by the time I was walking through the pathway towards the lobby I sensed that there was something that happened or was happening. But I didn’t mind it a lot. I passed by my classmates. They were standing up by the facade of the building. I was in a hurry so I didn’t get to talk to them. They seem preoccupied with something too.

Cheer Dance Competition

Storm Lawin was said to be in Aurora. From 5am there was a heavy downpour. The cheerdance competition was scheduled in the morning but due to the terrible weather it was rescheduled at 1pm at the ASCOT covered court instead in the open grounds.

The competition was good. It was evident that each team gave their best. It was a good fight. The cheerdancers from my department, BSIT won the trophy.

In the contrary, I wasn’t satisfied with the pictures I have taken. I had a problem on getting in the right angles because there was a huge crowd. I was shy to get around. I just kept on one side and tried not to be on the scene so much. But still there are some that may be fine. I had a problem also on the lighting since the weather wasn’t fine. I didn’t use the flash because it might distract them. Obviously, i still have so much to learn. I’ve got a long long way to go before becoming really good at taking pictures.

Basketball

On the 28th, I and Aimee was very busy on finishing the flash issue for intrams. Although it may look simple but to finish it was actually hard. I had few hours of sleep in the last two nights since I got to do it only at night at home because we’re busy watching and taking pictures during the day. But it’s fine. I am happy with what I am doing. At least Im doing something good. ^^

During the late afternoon we got a time off from work. We watch our team in their basketball game. Galing ni pareng Nico! They beat the engineering dept.

The ASCOT Intramurals is what keeping me busy since monday. I dont have a game to play but since I am into the college publication I have many stuffs to do. I together with my classmates and fellow staff Aimie and Elei watch the games. I also get to practise some photography chorva. however, lalo na akong mangitet lake! hehe

San Luis Fiesta

I really want to learn more about photography that’s why I watched the parade for the 49th Foundation Day of San Luis. Well, I was glad with the result. I was able to take some good shots. Before watching the parade I happened to stumble upon an article here on the net about photography. It talked about a technique called panning. Its the technique used by sports photographer in which the subject’s movement is caught through having a blurred effect of its background. It’ s easier done using a SLR camera but it can still be done with a point and shoot cam like mine although its harder.

By the way, I did enjoy watching the parade. I was with my two nephews. They too liked to see the colorful costumes of the street dancers as well as the drum and lyre band. They got excited when they saw their Mama on the parade. Cedric, the younger one, 2 y/o, already wanted to come along.

I also saw professional photographers there. How I wish I would be one of them in the future.

When I was home I immediately uploaded on my computer to see the pictures I have taken. It was fulfilling. I like it.

Because I kinda felt down these past few days, as you might notice on my previous post may nakalimutan pala akong ikwento. Nung August 18 gumimik kami uli. Nung hapon I went to Baler. I and Janice took a look at the happenings around town. We went to the park. Then, Elei texted me she said she saw us on tv. Hehe.. Later on Aimee joined us. I and Aimee went back to the park to watch the cultural show after we accompanied Janice on her way home. At about 9 in the evening Darwin, EJ and Jake were with us. Sabi nila Jake mukhang nagkakausuhan ang kj kasi kaming lima na lang yata ang gigimik. Anyway we still went on to the SMB night. Later Marfel came along too. It was fun. The music was good. The guest was the same band that I have watched last Aurora Day. They did nice covers of OPM and reggae music. I especially enjoy the performance of Blue Island. Sayang wala si Elei, di tuloy nya nakita si Pong. Hehe.. I also met Lloyd there. He’s a friend of mine. I was surprised when I saw him. I didn’t recognize him anymore. Ang laki na nya!

Kinaumagahan kami naman ni Elei ang magkasama. Pinapunta kami ng ASCOT for some official duty. ^^.. But of course as usual we never forget to have fun.

Kaya lang nung hapon on the way inabutan kami ng malakas na ulan ni Ate. Pero ok lang nagenjoy pa rin kami. We enjoyed the rain like we were kids. Once in a while lang mangyari yun.

Nothing lasts forever

While I was thinking about the things that were happening to my life recently, I remember the reality show I used to watch before. It’s the fashion designing contest entitled Project Runway hosted by Hedi Klum. Heidi uses the tag line which goes something like one time your in, the next time your out. It sort of tells me that nothing lasts forever. All will change.

In life there are no guarantees.That’s why I have long resolved to myself not to expect about anything or from anyone. Promises will be broken. Sweet words will turn sour. So why should I think forward. Instead I try to live by the moment

“Let it be..cooL lang tayo..enjoi!” Those are the same words I use as shout out on my friendster profile. I choose to enjoy things as it happen because sooner or later it will pass. I’ll seize the good things while I can because when its over I might never get it back.

I don’t want regrets anymore. I only want memories that will make me smile. I don’t want arguments. What I like are conversations to promote the benefit of everyone. But as a human it is natural to feel pain or hurt sometimes. Then this hurt feeling will lead to anger. Once I am angry I acknowledge that emotion so that in time I can let it go. I don’t nurse anger. I will hurt only myself if I do so.

What goes around comes around as a line in a song says.

Life goes on. That’s one thing that will never change.

Memory

Kainis di ako succesful sa exam ko sa troubleshooting. Nasira ko emory. huhu. Anyway, ganun lang talaga unexpected things do happen. I may just have to learn from it. After that not so good event last friday morning Aug. 15, I and my buddies especially Elei and Aimie had a whole lot of great time. We went to Aimie’s friends’ house. Her friend invited her over. Piyesta na naman, She had me and Elei along with her. We had lunch there, afterwards, videoke naman. I and Elei were Aimee’s fans since both of us can’t carry a tune. We didn’t notice we were there for hours already. By 4 pm we decided to go somewhere else. We headed our way towards the flea market. We wandered through the stalls without having specific thing in mind to look for. When we’re done we walked down town. We went to some places until we got hungry. We went to Gerry’s for some quick fix. We ate a satisfying dose of warm noodle soup since the weather was cold. It was raining. We were really full when we finished the meal. We laughed a lot too while were there. Aimie’s green shirt matched the green table cloth of the place. She belong!

Then, we went to the municipal plaza to watch the skateboarding competition. We watched Justin play. Janice, Darwin, Edwin and Liezel joined us too. The competition was cool. It was nice to see skaters having a great time doing the stuff they really like. The eight year old skater boy was really cute. For sure he’ll get better as he age since at such a tender age he was already good.

Another set of wonderful memories were stored in my heart. Being with people I love makes me happy. Thanks guys.

Nakakatuwang isipin na pagkatapos ng ilang taon na magkakasama tayo dumating yung time na nagkaroon tayo ng bonding at ngayon may samahan na tayo. We’re not srangers anymore. We are friends more than anything else. Ilang taon na rin tayong magkakasama pero ngayon lang talaga na naging familiar na talaga tayo sa isa’t isa. Better late than never nga. Afterall fourth year na tayo sooner or later maghihiwahiwalay na. Mas ok na rin na meron tayong mga memories na babalikan at higit sa lahat mga kaibigang pwedeng abutin saan man tayo makarating.

Since ako naman ang author unahin ko na sarili ko..Ako si Pam. Madami ang tawag sakin Ate Pam. Older naman kasi talaga ako..huhu..ayaw..joke . Di kasi ako nagstart ng first year dito sa ASCOT kaya nadelay ako ng one year. Pero mas gusto ko pag PAM lang tawag sa akin para cool! Young at heart din naman ako. Almost all my college years hindi ako ganun kasociable. Ok na sa akin ang may buddy na isa o dalawa. Nung first year si Badette sparring partner ko kaya lang CE kinuha nya kaya nagkahiwalay na din kami ng landas nung 2nd yr. Nung high school meron akong barkada,mga classmates ko sa Sayans, 16 kami lahat. Nagsimula kami nung 2nd yr kami hanggang ngayon. Bihira na kaming magkita. Kahit sa text or sa net bihira na rin pero hindi ibig sabihin nun na nawala na yung friendship. The bonding we share will never be erased by neither time nor distance. I always enjoy yung mga time na nagkakasama kami kahit sobrang bihira. I am looking forward to spending time with them again. Papalibre ako! hehe..My point is, I am happy dahil ngayong college meron din akong tropa. The more the merrier. I am blessed to have not just one but numerous na mga mare at pare ^^…Meanwhile, pano ko ba describe sarili ko. Kayo na bahalang magsabi basta ako to..this is me..Once a friend, always a friend.

Fast forward na tayo. Punta na tayo ngayong fourth year. Nung pasukan naging mas close kami ni Janice. Pano nga ba nangyari yun? Ah..nung minsan

JANICE

kaming mga girls nagkakwentuhan pano makakapagpapayat. Beauty conscious dw ba. Tapos nabrought-up tungkol sa exercise. Nabanggit ni Janice nagjojogging daw sya sa kanila. Tapos napagkasunduan namin na bakit hindi kami sabay na magjogging sa beach ng umaga. Pareho rin naman kami na nakatira sa Zabali Yung bago sumikat ang araw para di naman masyadong mainit. At dun na nga nagsimula. Kinabukasan mga 5:30 nagpunta kami sa beach at nagpakafeeling health buff talaga kami. Jogging jogging tapos kwentuhan. Simula non naging close na kami. Sabay din kaming pumapasok para makadiscount kami sa pamasahe.

Si Janice, one of my close friends. Cool na cool yan. Mabait. God fearing at may paninindigan. She asserts kung ano ang sa tingin nya ay tama. Lagot sa kanya mga mapagsamantalang tricycle driver na hindi nagbibigay ng exact na sukli.

LIZEL

Actually, mas matagal na silang magkasama ni Liezel bago ako dumating sa eksena. Kaya naging trio kami. Masasabi ko naman kay Liezel tulad ni Janice mabuting tao rin. She’s loyal. I am glad that were friends too. Enjoy siya kasama. kahit sa klase tahimik lang makulit din. At magaling magvolleyball. Ang tangkad kasi nya. Di ko malilimutan yung nagkaroon ng gimik ang klase tapos di na sana ako makakasama pero sinundo pa nya ako talaga sa amin kahit malayo at medyo late na.

Kaming tatlo super close din kay Annie. Si Annie responsible na tao. She makes sure na nagagawa ng maayos ang mga requirements sa school. Like Janice she is assertive too. She’s never afraid to tell her side kahit na sa mga instructor kapag may napapansin syang hindi tama. At hindi lang sya smart, pretty din. Magaling pa magbadminton. Siya ang Ms. Dipaculao ng klase. Annie is an independent person too. She knows what she wants and she works on achieving it. Kung medyo kinukulang na ng positive influence ang life nyo go makijamming lang kay Annie. If papayag si Yorick. Ang love team at for real na buddy nya.

Dati pa naging ka close ko na rin si Yorick not just because we’re classmates but also dahil nagkasama kami nun sa scuaa at nung practicum.I have nothing bad to say about him. Mabait na tao. Di sya napipikon kahit madalas namin asarin. Nonetheless good looking din. Magaling din magbadminton like Annie. May diskarte din sa buhay. May business sya at buti na lang he’s not too profit oriented kaya nakakamura kami kapag may mga project. We all love to see Yorick and Annie together. Best wishes sainyo. Parang kasalan na no!

We’re all close to Anne too. She’s younger than most of us. Mahinhin. Pinong kumilos. Prim and proper. Admirable din ang kanyang shiny jet black hair. Syempre mabait din sya, a loyal friend at matalino. Ang love team naman nya ay si Pareng Jake.

JAKE and ANN

Si Jake naman cool na cool yan. Magaling din magbasketball katulad ng mga tropa din nyang sina Nico, EJ d dancer at Bobsteel. Si Nico ang classmate naming campus heartthrob. Try mo magsurvey, tanungin mo sa mga girls sa ascot kung sino top crushes nila sa campus at sigurado isa dun si Nico. Siyempre he’s not just the looks mabait din. Lagi nyang kasama si Bobsteel. Ang loko naming kaklase. Pamatay ang mga hirit nyan pero sigurado namang matatawa ka. Tropa din nila si EJ. Ang celebrity sa klase. Dancer. Lahat na yata ng sayawan andun siya. Mapacontest o intermission number man. Go girl! ahem Dude pala. Pagpatuloy mo yan malay natin next time sa tv ka na namin makikitang nagsasayaw. Dati sina Nico, Bobsteel, EJ at Jake lang ang laging magkakasama pero ngayon kumalat na ang lagim. Ay impluwensya pala. Nagmerge na ng bagong tropa courtesy of Darwin d senior. Ngayon lagi na silang makikitang magkakasama. Syempre di pwedeng mawala si bestfriend Alvin na love team ni Flor na buddy nina Aicie at May.

Balik muna tayo kay Darwin. Siya ang ama ng tropa. Ang banker, planner at tiga abono pag kinakapos na ng budget ang grupo. Bilib ako dito kay Darwin. He’ll do everything para sa tropa. Kung tutuusin siya ang nakapagpasimula ng bonding ng klase. He’s someone who wouldn’t mind being laughed at. Sport siya. Salamat sayo Kuya Darwin!

Isa pa sa mga resident comedian ng tropa ay si bestfriend Alvin. Malupit din sense of humor nyan. Nakakatuwa ang mga punchline nya. Madalas ding kasama nila ang notorious na chikboy na si Edwin. Palaging japorms at after the girls. Pero siyempre masayang kasama din. Si Chester din nakakasama ng grupo dahil kaklase namin siya sa ibang subjects. Ang lalaking may nakakatawang tawa. Pag narinig mo ang tawa niya siguradong matatawa ka rin. Siyempre hindi din mawawala ang kuya ng lahat na si Aron. Mabait din yan!

Yung kasabihan na “Big surprises come in small packages” aptly describes Florisa na love team ni Alvin. Okey din yan si Flor, smart. Ang cute nya pag nagbablush sya. She literally turns red. Kaya nga Florisa na ang tawag namin ni Justin dun sa emoticon na nagbablush sa YM. Katrio din ni Flor sina Aicie at May. Silang tatlo ay collectively called “the Dorm girls”. Sina Aicie at May ay masasabing larawan ng huwarang kababaihan. naks naman! They are all kind, responsible and good natured individuals.

Mula nung sa San Luis na ako nakatira di ko na nakakasabay si Janice. Madalas ko na makasama sina Aimie at Elei. Pati na rin sina Bheng, Jojie at Nikuy. Lahat sila masarap kasama. I have shared a lot of times with Aimie. We were seatmates sa bus nung may tour. I enjoy talking to her because she’s not only smart but also kind and down to earth. She’s an admirable person. She could be vulnerable sometimes but she always rise up and regain her strong self.

Ang bunso ng grupo ng mga boys ay si Shiela. Okey din yang si Shie. Maasahan sa mga lakaran. Di sya nahihiyang magfront pag kailangan namin humarap sa mga instructors. Another thing i like about her is her fashion sense. She’s good at it. She carries herself well too. Kasama din syempre si Jerome. Ang laging sagot sa venue ng gimik

Meanwhile, Elei is a wonderul person too. She’s someone who is not afraid to show her individuality through her different interests. Bheng, Jojie and Nikuy are similarly good natured persons. Nakakatuwa si Bheng. Effortless ang sense of humor nya. Kahit di na sya mageffort masyado napapasaya na nya kami. Si Jojie din ok yan. Di sya pikon. Kahit tinutukso siya ng mga boys ayos lang. She’s a sport. Ganun din syempre si Nikuy na masarap kakwentuhan. Pag kausap mo sya mafefeel mo na sincere sya.

Hindi din makukumpleto ang blk2 kung wala sina Bianca at Riza na mga pretty girls. Riza looks very much like Angel Locsin. Kaya siya si Darna. Kahit bihira namin sila nakakasama syempre mahalaga pa rin sila sa amin.
